Dear Colleague:
Congratulations on passing the bar! In the present economy, I am sure that many of you are looking at practicing solo or joining a small firm, if you have not already done so.
I hung up my shingle in 1974, and have now been working with Mark McDougal for 20 years. We became partners about ten years ago. My son, Jason, has just joined the firm, and, like you, is just beginning his legal career.
We offer our services as cooperating attorneys. We have often partnered on a case-by-case basis with any number of Oregon lawyers.
If you have a substantial case that you feel could benefit from our experience and resources, please feel free to give us a call and talk about the possibility of associating. We often accept full responsibility for cases from other lawyers, and arrange to share fees. If you wish to bring us in, but you want to continue to play a role in the case, we are happy to involve you throughout, including your serving as second chair if the case goes to trial.
If you have a case that you want to handle on your own, but you are looking for some advice or help on strategy or specific issues, please feel free to simply give us a call. We are happy to share our thoughts and experience as a courtesy to new lawyers.
Our website is www.kafourymcdougal.com. It includes news clips from various cases, as well as video of one of our CourtTV cases.
Good luck to you as a new member of the Oregon bar.
Sincerely,

Gregory Kafoury
